Lithium Ion Battery Recycling

  • Our 50,000 square foot facility in Glasgow, Scotland, aims to showcase cutting-edge methods for lithium-ion battery upcycling.

  • Our material extraction systems enable us to recycle any type of battery. We dissemble lithium-ion batteries down to the desired stage for processing and refining. Our flexible strategy caters to a range of battery types – serving those producing 1:1:1 NMC, 6:2:2 NMC, 8:1:1 NMC, and beyond

  • We can process a battery with up to 30% charge, eliminating the discharge bottleneck that afflicts most recyclers

  • Our technical process for the refining of black mass is deliberate and adaptive. Initially, we produce commodities with broad appeal across various industries; key among these are metal salts like cobalt sulphate, nickel sulphate, manganese sulphate, and lithium carbonate. We will pivot from metal salts to active materials once market conditions stabilize and mature.

  • Our process enables the isolation and recovery of 97% of all materials, including the electrolyte. We eliminate the hydrofluoric acid problem that afflicts most all recyclers.
